1. Teach oral proficiency skills based on OPI (Oral Proficiency Interview) standards to improve students' spoken Chinese ability.
1. Develop courses aligned with OPI Level 2, 2.5, and 3 standards, ensuring students can express opinions fluently and accurately in both formal and informal settings.
1. Utilize Task-Based Learning (TBL) methodologies to enhance students’ language proficiency through real-world scenarios.
1. Conduct mock OPI speaking tests and provide targeted feedback to improve students’ fluency, complexity, and accuracy.
1. Coach students in OPI grading criteria, including vocabulary use, grammatical accuracy, comparative expressions, hypothetical statements, elaboration, and complete narration.
1. Integrate Singaporean cultural elements (such as HDB housing, hawker centers, and festivals) into lessons to enhance students' ability to communicate in real-life situations.
1. Contribute to curriculum planning and optimization, adjusting teaching strategies based on trends in the OPI exam.
1. Track student progress and submit teaching reports to the management team.
1. Master’s degree or above in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL), Linguistics, Education, or related fields (OPI certification is preferred).
1. Familiar with ACTFL OPI speaking proficiency standards and capable of teaching students at Level 2, 2.5, and 3.
1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Chinese as a second language or preparing students for the OPI exam (experience with international students preferred).
1. Native-level Mandarin proficiency, meeting International Chinese Teaching Certification standards, with fluent English communication skills (able to explain Chinese concepts in English).
1. Experience in cross-cultural teaching, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural setting.
1. Ability to design lesson content based on OPI grading criteria, helping students improve their fluency, grammatical accuracy, and vocabulary richness.
1. Proficient in Task-Based Learning (TBLT), situational teaching, and communicative teaching methodologies.
1. Familiar with Singaporean society and culture, integrating local elements such as multiculturalism, the HDB housing system, and Singlish into lessons.
