Permal Investment Management Services Ltd is the Singapore subsidiary of the global Permal Group, a British investment management firm specializing in hedge funds and private equity funds for international investors. Originally founded in 1973, the group manages approximately $22 billion in assets globally. The Singapore office was established shortly after the UK office opened in 1999, forming part of Permal global network with headquarters in London and offices in New York, Boston, Paris, Nassau, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Beijing. Incorporated on December 2, 2000, the Singapore entity focuses on corporate finance advisory services from their location at Suntec Tower Four. Permal offers multi-manager, multi-strategy funds, single manager funds, and customized separate accounts to sophisticated clients including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, family offices, private banks, and high-net-worth individuals. In 2005, Permal was acquired by Legg Mason for $800 million, and later became part of EnTrust Global in 2019 following corporate restructuring.
