Had an evening of good food, great company, and lively vibes at Jyu Lae! Arrived just after 6pm to a quiet, family-friendly scene. After looking at the menu, you would see why. Food is reasonably priced with an extensive selection. Half the menu leans towards traditional Taiwanese fare, while the other half offers creative Taiwanese-Western fusion. The signature cocktails were creative and quirky, but on a Thursday night, half were unavailable, including all the flaming ones, which was a pity. I eventually opted for the cutest one, which was a cocktail with a cartoon bear in a bathtub, dramatically smoking with dry ice. It fascinated the kids at the surrounding tables, until their parents realized it was alcoholic and swiftly redirected their excitement. By 8pm, the bistro had transformed into a buzzing hotspot. Despite the full house, food arrived promptly, even with our indecisive multiple orders, which the kitchen handled promptly. The dishes were tweaked for local palates, which were slightly healthier and less oily renditions of the actual dishes I had in Taiwan. Egg crepes were flavorful without an MSG overload, and the oyster omelette was pan-fried to crisp perfection, minus the usual oiliness. The live band impressed with witty and engaging conversations in between song dedications, belting out Mandopop classics with impressive vocals. A fantastic spot for gatherings and celebrations. Maybe families with kids too as long as they leave before the crowd comes in. Highly recommend!

First time here, initially was upset over the table sitting but believed he is the manager in charge relocate our table to bigger space so we appreciated for that.. everything was good, service wise.. Was surprised that there is a complimentary cake as it was to celebrate my birthday but we could not finish it as we had a cake as well.. Appreciate that the female manager came over help us take a photo and gave me a photo shot as a token too.. thank you so much especially my wife planned this dinner for me and staffs too.. Really appreciate and will be back again.. Frankly speaking I work in F&B line too, understand the table reservations too, my bad too and lastly Iโ€™m food lover cum influencer as well.. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Nice selection of songs that match the millennial. Rice was served the earliest and by the time the hotpot was served and boiled, it has lapsed 15 mins. Well food portion is decent for $12.90. Extra veg added lacked some freshness (leaves were dropping) and it came in transparent wrap. Rice is $2.50 a small bowl...sad. (I ate all the meat before I took the photo)

Had a good time with my friends on 6 March 2025. Excellent customer service for Priscilla and Jess, thanks for their recommendations as is my 1st visit Jyu Lae with my friends. All foods recommended so yummy especially the beef dish and shrimp crackers. Many thanks to Priscilla for her excellent service to ensure the dedicated song being played by the band for my colleague who is leaving SG for good. I will visit again with my family. Thank you
