I ordered the mee goreng. There is no prawns, no fish cake. Just big chunks of so called shrimp paste but tasted like Chinese yutiao or fried dough. Food standards have gone downhill -Sad-

This is my nth time visiting this place. First, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are very prompt in clearing used plates and bowls from your table. Hence, you will never encounter a situation of table cluttered with plates/bowls. Also, they are very alert/observant and will quickly replenish a food item when it is running low. Next, strongly recommend the following food items: (i) Cha Kway Teow is full of ingredients (sotong, small cockles, prawns, bean sprouts, fried eggs & green veg). It is well-fried with wok hey, very flavorful and the sweetness is just right. (ii) Nonya style dry curry prawns is simple irresistible. The large prawns are very fresh and crunchy. The curry is simply sedap and has a very nice lemongrass fragrance. (p/s: my mum who doesn't eat prawn could not resist it and ate a few prawns.) (iii) Desserts - Pulut Tai Tai with kaya is a KILLER! It is served directly from the steamer and hence the warm and moist glutinous rice dyed purple using butterfly pea flowers is well complemented by the aromatic and mildly sweet kaya. Kueh Kosui is well-flavoured with gula melaka and grated coconut. Kueh Lapis being so colorful is very popular. Bubur Cha Cha is fragrant and delicious, with lots of ingredients like taro, sweet potato, and colourful tapioca jellies. Its coconut milk is rich and has a well-balanced taste of sweetness and saltiness (p/s: i had 4 bowls of this and was super satisfied :P) (iv) Chicken Satay - chicken is well-marinated, tender, well-grilled perfectly matched with the peanut dipping sauce. (v) Assam Laksa (vi) Hokkien Mee (Soup) Reservation is highly recommended because there was a queue waiting to be served when we left the place around 7.45 pm.

This is the place of choice when I crave for Penang food. It’s very authentic in terms of taste and flavour. I liked the Penang Asam laksa so much, it’s so sour and the broth was so rich. The beef rendang was very “lemak”. The price is very reasonable to the value. The service was good too. I will definitely go back.

Great Penang food! Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Everything we had was amazing. We got ala carte but most people had the buffet - took a walk around and the spread was good, suitable for those who would like to try everything on the menu. Crowd favourites were the salted egg chicken ($17.9) which were generously coated with salted egg (not cream sauce). Tender chicken chunks with robust salted egg flavour. The Penang Char Kway Teow with Chung Ling eggs and big prawns ($19.9) was very well-done too. Full of wok hei, and the Chung ling eggs were so soft and creamy! Big prawns were huge and very fresh - bouncy ✌🏻we liked the Chung ling eggs so much we ordered ala carte add-on. Beef rendang ($19.5) was amazing as well - rich rempah with soft and tender beef chunks. Portion was extremely generous for the price. Assam laksa ($13.5) came with a HUGE piece of sardine, and the broth was tangy and not MSG laden. A very appetising dish. Chicken satay was well-grilled and tender, with a tasty peanut sauce.
