We took the Singapore Duck Tour in the last week of June and had a mostly enjoyable time. Highlights of these tours are always the water segment. The cruise through Marina Bay had fantastic views of the Merlion, the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands Hotel, and the Gardens by the Bay. The view of the skyline from the water is particularly beautiful.
Take note, if youâre seated near the sides of the boat, you may get splashed when the vehicle enters the water. Itâs not a big deal, but something to keep in mind.
The boatâs motor is very loud. The guide does use a microphone so most of us could hear him. But there were times when it was difficult.
The street portion of the tour was short. We passed around the Parliament building and the Padang before returning. Since it was close to National Day, we did get to see the grandstands and army vehicles out for parade rehearsals. Still, I wouldâve liked to see more of the city.
The tour runs about 50 minutes and cost S$45. I recommend booking the 5 PM slot when itâs a bit cooler. After the tour you can head to Suntec City or the nearby area for dinner.

If you havenât heard of it before, the Singaporean Duck Tour is a well-known tour vehicle that starts on land, goes into water and ends up back on land.
Boarding is at Suntec City.
After a short while of driving towards the river, there is a brief moment of anxiety as the tour guide amps up the atmosphere preparing you for the exciting bump where the vehicle goes from land to river.
Once on the river, the views are incredible!
As you cruise, you get to see different angles of Marina Bay Sands Hotel, the Durian (Esplanade Theatres), Gardens by the Bay, Merlion and Singapore Flyer - all of Singaporeâs iconic landmarks
Finally, you go back onto land and the vehicle drives around showing other sites such as the Old Supreme Court, the War Memorial Park and much more. As you leave the bus, they encourage you to ring the bell.
It was a fun way of exploring the beautiful sights of Singapore.
PS:- Highly recommended for experiencing this super fun ride.

First time doing the Ducktours.
Such an interesting ride! Lasted around an hour, 2/3 of the time on the waters and 1/3 on land. The guide shared and introduced the various places of interests throughout the journey.
She also gave quizzes and prizes (a set of cute duck stickers).
The vehicle is rather old and very noisy đ
A fun and interesting activity to do. It takes around 50 minutes with 2 parts, best part is on the water of course. Nice view for the most iconic places of Singapore. Travelling with my 72+ years old mom without any issue taking this and she liked it a lot. And kids will love it fpr sure! (So do people who are kid-at-heart đ )
The guide on duty at 3pm tour on Feb 1, 2025 is also super nice.
Recommend to purchase the ticket online in advance during peak season/public holiday as it might be sold out on the day.

I originally booked a 5pm slot, but was informed that it had been rescheduled to 6pm. Although I agreed reluctantly at first, the later timing turned out to be a blessingâthe weather was cooler, and the scenery was beautiful. Special thanks to our tour guide, James, who did an excellent job introducing Singaporeâs various landmarks. His ability to recall key dates and numerous facts was a clear testament to his dedication and effort. It was my first time on a Duck Tour, and it was a truly wonderful experience!

Overall I was happy with my DuckTour experience. Itâs a great way to tour Singapore and see all the sights.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and interactive with guests.
Loved the vehicle concept, a bus that transforms into a boat.
Cost us approx 55AUD for price reference, can be pricey but was worth it.

Great experience and would recommend for an hour. Informative guide and you see the main iconic sites like Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion. Itâs a noisy bumpy ride but good fun.

Enjoyed my 11 am Duck tour on the DUKW Katrina on Sat 22 Feb 2025. The tour departed on time for the waterborne part before returning to land for the landward section.
Our guide was very nice and took the initiative a few times to go around snapping pictures for Duck Tour participants. Bonus points for the free Duck stickers if you answered the trivia questions correctly. Captain Tan maneuvered our DUKW Katrina very well, so much that there wasn't any water splashing onto participants when we entered the water at Marina Barrage.
Fulfilled a childhood dream today thanks to Duck Tours
Travelling with a family of four and decided to give this a go. Really fun tour and you get the perspective of seeing it from the river. There are two parts, the river cruise which is about 35 minutes and the road tour which last for 25 minutes. Itâs an hour all up. This tour was very enjoyable but the customer service was atrocious.
We bought our tickets and went to the store to redeem these. The guy serving us was disinterested and then just barked instructions to us. He was incredibly rude and my advice to him is that it doesnât cost anything to be nice and show respect to others.
I am not sure if he was having a bad day but if youâre charging for a service, demonstrate some courtesy to your customers. Great fun tour for all the family but terrible customer engagement.
