Ordered the drink as posted in the photo and found a metal scrubber piece when I was drinking the peach pieces. Drink was overall fine but I was shocked to find something hard in it. I hope the staff can be more diligent in noticing things like this inside containers or tools, regardless of the volume of customers.

It was a hot day and I was feeling thursty . i walked past the suntec outlet and enquired about the Rice milk latte. and it was great and refreshing . I also bought the sky blue wine gourd :)

Pistachio Jin Xuan is not bad. The tea topping is creamy. Carrier is v beautiful. Dark classic china blue.
A bit expensive though.

I pick this bc i'm the fan of fermented rice drink.
Fermented Osmanthus:
The fermented rice is mild, not recommended if you like the strong ferment taste. The drink is fragrantly sweet bcos of the osmanthus. Good enough though not meeting my expectation. Taste of the greentea is mild yet good balanced.
Dark Plum Tomato Tea:
Interesting combination and very refreshing. Something out of ordinary yet pleasant. Combination of light sour from plum, presence of tomato after taste lingers and black tea blended well to total taste.
Perfect to quence thirst during hot day.

A successful F&B business must strike a balance between quality, efficiency, service, and experience. While Whale Tea delivers on product quality, it unfortunately falls short in the other areas.
I placed my order via the self-service kiosk and waited outside the store. After 20 minutes of frustrating delay and observing the staff, I began to question the operational efficiency and whether the wait was being artificially prolonged to simulate demand. When I asked the counter staff about the delay, I was met with a dismissive response:
“ALL OUR TEAS TAKE ABOUT 30 MINUTES. DID THE CASHIER NOT TELL YOU?”
I was taken aback—not just by the unexpected wait, but by the tone of the reply. A simple, courteous explanation such as “We’re working on your order, but we’re currently handling a backlog” would have made a world of difference.
At the 30-minute mark, I finally received my order, only to be subjected to further condescension from a female staff member in the back, who insinuated that I lacked basic understanding of their “standard” wait time.
Conclusion:
Customer experience is more than just the product—it’s about how people are treated. I hope Whale Tea takes this feedback seriously and trains their staff to communicate with empathy and professionalism. A good drink should never come with a bitter experience.

1st try. Went with seasonal pistachio coffee after reading reviews. It’s good!
Pre-sweetened pistachio “butter” (nut butter consistency), opted for zero sugar. Result is very tasty and satisfying.

Had the passion fruit tea.
The amount of passion fruit in it is generous.
The tea base is great that it’s super refreshing.
Super value for price.
Quite a long queuing time maybe because there was events.
The membership program is convenient. And has daily promo.

I recently frequent The Whale Tea Suntec because of their weekday (especially Thursday's 1-for-1) promotions. Love that the tea is authentic and flavourful although I wish the pistachio and avocado drinks can be cheaper and more affordable. I also like the fermented rice drink but it is kind of expensive so hopefully there will be some promotions for it. Love that the drinks come with a cookie too. Please have more 1-for-1 promotions, I will support. Special shoutout to all the helpful and friendly staff who are always friendly and patient in answering my queries about the drinks.

Whale Tea is one of my go-to bubble tea places and the reason is obvious - the tea tastes really good! The service is good and the flavours are always innovative. The dark plum flower mint is great!
