Comfort food. Wide selection of dishes. Reasonable pricing. Staff was kind enough to doubke-check if price is acceptable before preparing the dish. Hae bi hiam is mouthful of nostalgia.

Itās Hard to go wrong with cai fan anywhere. Though I have to say that itās a bit on the pricier (but still cheaper than most places in town) side but also not forgetting this is in the city. They have a wide spread of dishes to choose from and all of the ones I chose weāre pretty spot on in terms of flavour. For me personally I really enjoyed the sweet and sour pork. Crunchy with good sweetness from the sauce!

I recently had an infuriating experience at Yong Xing Teochew Porridge. I ordered just two eggs and one vegetable dish, expecting a reasonable price. However, when I asked for a price breakdown, the staff rudely refused to explain and bluntly told me it was $6. This is an outrageous amount for such a meager order. I felt completely ripped off and taken advantage of. This level of customer service and blatant overcharging is unacceptable. It felt like outright daylight robbery. To make matters worse, the food quality was abysmal. The rice was hard, the food was cold, and it wasn't appetizing at all. I couldn't believe they had the audacity to charge such an exorbitant price for such poorly prepared food. This experience was utterly disappointing on every level. Avoid this place if you value your money and your taste buds! I am extremely disappointed and will never return. Beware of their pricing practices!

Ordered 3 dishes for $17 1. Minced pork 2. Chicken wings 3. Omelette 4. 2x porridge My first and last visit. Charge double for all dishes. I rather eat macdonalds set meal that come with drinks. One angmo order a plate of Rice with egg, veg and 2 pcs of nghor Hiang was charged $13! Omg day light robbery !

Since working near the area again, this place has become the most frequent place I go for lunch. Although is just porridge, but the location and the food provided is considered not too bad value and good quality. Usually two bowls of porridge and 3 to 4 dishes will not be more than $8 and depending on what's order of course. Queue is long but move fast and seating always quite easy to find.

For some reason, we keep coming back to this mixed rice shop in Suntec Mall basement. It's near the Giants supermarket and the Japan Home store. The food is fairly fresh, tasty and has good variety of dishes.

Came here for morning breakfast at 8+ not many dishes cooked already but is sufficient for me to taste morning teochew porridge. Porridge is warm with gravy and also ordered simple meal like egg, vegetable and meat as per picture. Paired with coffee too to warm up my stomache too! Cleanliness is ok but its early morning so not many people lol. For the porridge and overall experience, I would say not too bad for the price too of $7 if you get tired of opposite toast box and bread stuff

Plastic bottle cap found in my food. Enuff said. No longer will be eating their expensive stuff.

Apart from MBS cai fan, this is probably the most expensive Cai Fan I ever eaten. 4 vege: $8. 1vege: $1.50 Rice: $2 Since it's so expensive, I'm gonna use my expensive tastebud to comment. 1st of all, vegetables were cooked okay, seasoning were a tad too heavy for brinjal and the eggs have this char taste which made the food slightly unpleasant. 2nd: the curry was very salty, thankfully, the rice helps alittle, but the amount given by the worker was very little. Ask for more if you are someone who likes your food wetter. 3rd: the rice was cooked properly, but taste like normal rice from any caifan store. Overall, it's a average cai fan with limited protein portion and expensive vegetables and rice If you were to ask me, you can patronise other caifan store nearby like food Republic or big appetite like level 3, which is more economically price and taste better.

I really enjoy eating Teochew porridge at this place. The dishes are tasty. Service can be a bit abrupt, but overall, itās a pleasant experience. Some folks find it pricy, but itās stand alone restaurant, not like cai png at a food court. The tables are clean, itās not overly noisy, so I donāt mind paying a bit more for a more pleasant dining experience. I also find that in the evening, nearing end of business day and the portions tend be SLIGHTLY more generous. š Oh, hereās a tip: If youāre ordering for multiple pax, order bigger portions for the dishes that most of your group really enjoy, but smaller potions for those dishes that not everyone in the group will love. NEVER tell the server how many bowls or rice/porridge at the beginning of ordering. Order dishes first, then order rice/porridge, or else they will just give you the biggest size for all the different dishes. For example, for a group of 6, do you really need 6 salted eggs?!
