Food was really filling for me, plus the wait time is quite short which is a huge plus (I went on a Friday afternoon). Staff were quite okay. Overall, will visit again if they have a special event again.

Ordered dry gave us soup passed it back to them they drained the soup and poured the sauce on the noodle without helping us stir when usually order dry

Had a try here with a some friends the mala was quite nice actually and the variety of ingredients available for picking is quite a fair amount and to pay you just go to the counter with the weighing scale and tell the cashier what soup base you want. And it’s self collection so you will need to check out for your number overall really not too bad.

Bamboo shoots and Huang Di Miao vegetables were so old and hard to chew. I throw out most of them. Rice cakes were so soft, they all broke into small pieces. Soup is quite meh. Super pricey for non-restaurant eatery - 650g for $21.90. And all weigh in, no weighing of items separately. Seriously, I could have gotten something better at a cheaper price with proper service just a few steps away.

I recently went back again to Gong Yuan Mala Tang because my ShopBack loyalty program was about to expire, and I decided to bring my mom along. She loved it just as much as I did!
I ordered a mix of vegetables, hotdogs, pork, cheese tofu, meatballs, luncheon meat, and fish balls. This time, I opted for the Mala Tang soup base because I was craving something spicy, although I usually go for the pork bone broth. Both broths are absolutely delicious and packed with flavor!
Service can be a bit hit or miss. When it’s not too crowded, the service is great, but it tends to slow down when the place gets busy. Having been here more than six times, I’ve seen both scenarios.
One suggestion for improvement would be the food variety. Other Gong Yuan outlets have a wider selection of ingredients. However, if you’re in the area and want a quick, hassle-free dining experience without long queues, this place is a solid choice. The prices might be a bit on the higher side for Mala Tang, but you’re paying for the quality and reputation of the brand.
Overall, I would recommend Gong Yuan Mala Tang if you’re in the area for a tasty and soupy meal otherwise there are better options at Suntec City. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is my first time at Gong Yuan Mala.
I was unsure how the ordering and service work. So i asked and they were very polite, helpful and caring.
I came over because of the HSR collab. And the collab was promoting the Szechuan Mala bowl. I wanted to try it out. The staff was nice enough to tell me it was the equivilant of 大辣. They elaborate that they saw their customers struggling to even eat when they ordered it.
The food is very delicious. Definately a great place to dine. Great moods in and great moods out!!

Reached at 9pm and last order was supposedly at 9.30pm. We were rudely told by the staff that if we wanted to dine in, we had to leave by 9.40pm. After picking the food items, we realized that the soup bases we wanted were unavailable and it was not made known to us beforehand. Sauces and condiments were also kept and cited as “finished”. Wouldnt recommend coming if its close to 9pm, impatient staffs that just want to pack everything as early as possible. Had always been our favourite but we’d reconsider now.
