Gong Yuan Mala Tang at Suntec is on the pricier side compared to many other Mala Tang places. They also have higher weight requirements, which makes it less appealing if you're looking for a lighter or more budget-friendly meal.
The variety is average at best, with fewer ingredient options compared to other similar chains. While it’s decent enough in a pinch, it’s not really my go-to for Mala Tang unless I don’t have other choices, especially since during lunch hour, it’s really hard to get a seat and service is so-so

Tried their new vegetarian soup base - not as herbal as their previous mushroom soup option so it's more palatable. Soup base is pretty hearty and thick enough. I like that they have a good variety of vegetables for vegetarians. Table management can be improved, those groups whose members are not all there yet should not be hogging the tables as due to SDM it can take quite long to clear the queue.

👅 Taste: The Pork Bone broth was a delightful surprise, closely resembling the rich flavors of a Tonkatsu broth. It left a lasting impression, and the wide variety of meats and vegetables added to the overall enjoyable dining experience.
🥙 Dishes: The restaurant boasts an extensive selection of dishes, providing a diverse range of options for both meat and vegetable lovers. The wait for food was reasonable, and the choices available make it a great spot for a group of six.
🍽️ Atmosphere: Despite the brief wait for a table, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. The weekday lunch ambiance was inviting, contributing to a positive dining experience. Combined with reasonable pricing, it creates a compelling reason to return for another visit.

We ordered a garden vegetable soup with a lot of veggies in it and it was super filling and delicious! Mala bowls can be quite a heavy (and expensive) dish for one person, so my friend and I shared one and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
They had plastic spoons and forks which was a bummer, but overall quite a nice Mala place!

Big problem on hygiene. One long black hair in my friend’s food. And the food was not good. The spoon was dirty too! Will not go second time
