Kei Kaisendon at Suntec City delivers the authentic taste of Japanese sashimi rice bowls through premium ingredients imported directly from Japanese seas, earning recognition as a Singapore Prestige Brand 2020/21 and Transformation Winner 2021 through their commitment to affordable, authentic Japanese cuisine. Located on Level 2 just minutes from Esplanade MRT station, this innovative restaurant operates daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, offering fresh kaisendon experiences that make high-quality Japanese dining accessible to Singapore's diverse food community.
The signature Kei Signature Kaisen Don, available in small ($12.90), regular ($16.90), and large ($19.90) portions, showcases thick, fresh sashimi slices that consistently impress customers with their quality and value. The restaurant's unique approach includes four distinct eating methods: traditional sashimi with shoyu and wasabi, enhanced with mayonnaise and chili powder, transformed into porridge with special Sakura chicken soup, or wrapped in nori seaweed for hand roll variations, ensuring each bowl delivers multiple flavor experiences within a single meal.
Beyond their famous kaisendon, the menu features specialty options like the Mentaiyaki Kaisendon ($17.90) with torched mentaiyaki sauce and various unagi preparations that cater to different preferences while maintaining the restaurant's focus on fresh, authentic ingredients. Customer reviews consistently highlight the generous portions, reasonable pricing, and exceptional freshness of the sashimi, with the restaurant's commitment to importing authentic Japanese seafood evident in every dish served in this convenient Marina Centre location that bridges traditional Japanese flavors with modern dining accessibility.
The wait staff is very friendly and nice.
Food is great, but we wish the tamago was heated up a bit. It was cold on cold for the hot bowl.
Their mentaiko sauce is delicious. Seafood is fresh. Will definitely visit again.

Really small and tight place to eat. Food is pretty decent. Think most of the stuff is either microwaved or boiled then sauce applied. Nothing seems grilled on the spot.
But their sashimi is not bad. Quite decent value.
The service from their staff is also really good.
A little ex but decent enough place to have a quick mean.

The staff who attended to me was smiley and friendly. The sashimi in the Chirashi bowl was fresh and the rice was not too sour. It satisfied my sashimi craving.

Very cosy place to enjoy keisendon, salmon, sashimi, but when it is full house, the noise level is quite high...
Miso soup abit too salty but that means very thick. Free salad and miso soup with order of main item. Miso soup has mushrooms and seaweed inside too.
Prawns, scallops, salmon, all are not bad. Mentaiko is yummy too. A bowl looks small but filling.

A great place to get affordable and yummy Kaisendon. The portion of fish to rice ratio is relatively generous and the staff are friendly. There are also value set promotions to choose from. Although it can’t beat the more lavish Japanese restaurants in Singapore, it is worth a visit if you’re craving for some affordable sashimi dishes.
