The sushi and sashimi were absolute perfection—the fish was incredibly fresh, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and beautifully presented. The tempura was light and crispy, with just the right balance of crunch and flavor. I also tried their soba noodles, which had a wonderful texture and depth of taste.

Food and service were good. There are unique items on the menu which we will come back for them again. Loved the charcoal grilled chicken thigh. While it does not look appetising, the meat was very tasty! Also love the soft shell crab mango roll and sea bream from the spring seasonal menu. Definitely will visit again! Bill was on the higher end due to sashimi.

Love their service, all their staff were friendly and welcoming. Their food is not very amazing. Their menu selection is limited and their portion were relatively small. My partner and I were hungry again at 9pm after our dinner at Sen Ryo, which we ended around 7pm. Their interior of the restaurant is beautiful and I think the vibe is great! Just that it was noisier during our dine in experience. If you have a smaller appetite, you can give this restaurant a try. If not, your tummy will be unsatisfied 😝

Sen-ryo is the best value for money Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to in Singapore. They serve premium and super delicious sushi and sashimi. The sushi is so authentic, it feels like you’re eating it in Japan. Their lunch set menu is a must-try, and it comes with complimentary hot or cold green tea. I went to Hong Kong years ago and Sen-ryo was always packed with long queues. But now they have two branches in Singapore! I love both branches at ION Mall and Suntec mall, and I love how they’re open all day, from 11am to 10 pm. If you’re a Japanese food lover, I highly recommend Sen-ryo.

The host wasn’t friendly at all. She was hostile and not keen to find us a seat. We didn’t make any reservation as it was a last minute decision to dine here. They were packed and told us to put in waiting list ourselves because it can only be done online by ourselves. They cannot manually take our phone no. and put on waitlist for us. Such bad system. However, the food was nice. Everything we ordered were good except for the chicken skewers as the frozen taste is very strong. Not sure how they handled this to cause that taste and smell.

2025.8.10 (Sun) I am fussy about my Japanese food. And I always prefer bespoke restaurants to chains. Senryo surprised me on the upside. The sashimi is very fresh. The presentation: not as refined as bespoke restaurants but good enough. The atmosphere: Comfortable but not great for catching up with 1-1 conversations. Tables are too close. The Service: Is excellent. There is energy in the order-takers and servers. The pricing: Reasonable for the quality and service. It actually reminds me of Sun with Moon 🤔

Went for a lunch with family. We all like the foods. The portion was just nice for us and the price was reasonable. Besides the food, the atmosphere was cosy and the location of the restaurant was easy to find. Definitely recommend for people who likes to eat Japanese food.

Had a great experience at sen-ryo (ION Orchard)’s weekday lunch, and decided to try this branch for a birthday dinner. Reserved a table for 3 for 7:45pm and they were kind enough to allow 4 guests and entry at 7:30pm. However, the food was mid. We ordered 2x of the deluxe sushi platter and all the sushi cuts all tasted the same and not very strong, only the salmon sushi was decent. Will recommend their wagyu beef bowl though, delicious and worth the $18++. Additionally, in the restaurant the service was not great at all for this pricier dining option. It took ages for a waiter to come take our order and come for our bill, even though they walked right past our table. The waiters were not attentive and took away our plates as soon as we “finished” the dish even though there was radishes remaining. there was no apology. The only upside was that there was a delicious complementary matcha layered crepe cake for the birthday person. However, the waitress serving it forgot to put our plates away before serving, ruining the surprise, and did not bother asking who’s birthday it was and placing the cake at the right person, she just placed it on the table and walked away. I believe all this service would be acceptable if the restaurant was busy but it the place was not packed, there was no one else waiting for a table. I expected better given my brilliant experience with food and service at sen-ryo ION Orchard. Would not recommend and would not come back for dinner.

Second visit for a birthday celebration. The Louhei combination was delicious, the sashimi was so fresh, the clams were savory, and the restaurant was so nice to serve us a complimentary cake. This was my first time here, highly recommended by my friends. The food is amazing, especially the special bento – so much variety in one bento, and the sashimi is fresh! The grilled squid was delicious and impressive, and the mochi matcha ice cream dessert was really good. Service was good, and the food was served quickly during lunch hour. The restaurant was full, so reservations are highly recommended. Will be back to try more food on the menu!

The sashimi and sushi are decent and fresh. The nabe and soupy stuff are on the salty side. Even for someone who likes their food seasoned we find it too salty. It can be hard to get the staff attention during the weekend but they are all very nice and friendly. Food also was prepared promptly.
