I have failed my exam many times and I called up SCI and they had someone personally to call me to help me understand the concepts. I am so pleasantly surprised and he explained one to one to me. I finally was able to pass after failing so many times. SCI is so focused on building people up and growing people. Thank you SCI.
There was a mis-communication and misunderstanding but SCI personally get back to me to sort things out. Decided to change my review from a bad experience to one that is good. Till date, SCI is still following up on my learning progress.
1July24 Today's exam was terrible! It didn't resemble the mock exams at all. There was no network in the classroom, so I couldn't access my IC on Singpass. I almost got rejected by the rude staff at the counter, who continued to harass me after the exam as I was leaving, reminding me to bring my physical pink IC. Sigh...
I achieved a score of 99.4% on the mock exam, but only 34% on the actual terminal exam today. I'm worried about the discrepancies in the scoring. It's frustrating that the mock exams seem designed for students to fail. I am concerned that the system is monopolized and that there may be unfair practices in place. Sigh đĽ˛
Sat for M5 and not gonna lie that the paper is challenging to get 75%.
The mock papers will prepare you for 50-60% max. Same/ similar questions probably 30-40.
The rest of the questions you have to know your stuff and also cancel out the unlikely answers to arrive at the ultimate and hopefully correct answer.
Logistics wise everything went smoothly.
Try to get your hands on as many papers as possible and target your weak points.
Good luck friends!
I have been talking since more than 2 years to the helping desk lady Ms Rashidah. She is very polite and gentle lady and always makes sure to get the query solved. Her voice is very encouraging and gives positive vibes.
Good luck to those that think you could breeze through to get your certifications, Iâm confident that this place has an underlying agenda which might be nauseating to some people. To my horror, The exam questions presented to me for my first time was a difference between night and day, heaven and hell, undoubtedly I failed and decided to retake it for a 2nd time. Miraculously, I easily passed the 2nd time and the questions were similar to the ones for the mock exams unlike the first exam which close to none of it came out as compared to the mock exam. Recently, I took another paper and to my horror itâs yet again so difficult, knowing that Iâm prepared but the questions that came out were just so tricky and hard. I hope there is some clarity on this situation as to retake an exam it costs $107, which might not be expensive for certain individuals but it might be something for others. I certainly believe these âSpeedbumsâ are placed in order to âmilkâ more out of unsuspecting students, by making the questions way more difficult and having them come a 2nd or god knows how many more times just to pay and âcoin-flipâ their way to get a pass on their certificate. One might point a finger and say that I did not study or do my best, but when I asked around, students apparently say the same thing that they failed because the âsetâ of questions given to them were extremely challenging. Just my 2 cents if someone were to think about perusing this path to obtain these certificates that if you spend enough you will eventually pass.
I want to give feedback about this unethical staff of your good company by the name of Mr Tan Chzen Wee.
He recently decided to withdraw me from one of the IBF-STS courses which I registered for and he told me to complete some free online modules which would take quite a lot of my time and an MCQ Test (which I passed). I had shown proof of relevant prior work and professional qualifications from MAS, IBF and SCI with the local financial institutions through the submitted CV.
I have an email trail of the communications and he wrote to me to inform me that I will not be imposed a penalty fee as he decided to withdraw me from the course. I tried to negotiate with him and told him that I was still keen to pursue the course and I asked if i could be enrolled into the next intake but he told me that by doing so he would impose a SGD$107 reschedule fee, and to add insult to injury he told me that "re-enrolment" would be subject to the discretion of SCI and most likely i will not be able to be admitted for any further intakes. If that wasn't high handed and discriminatory I don't know what is.
I thought that SCI was a 'not for profit' institution and would help facilitate any aspiring professional who would like to keep abreast of their domain knowledge and learning journey. I was not officially registered to start the course but I received a call a few days ago and he broke the news that his CEO, Mdm Karine Kam has decided not to refund the course fee i paid.
I felt very misled and I have this impression that all this time he already knew the outcome but decided not to be upfront about it. If it was made clear that the amount would not be refunded to me, he should have clarified this early so that I could make alternative arrangements with SCI if possible.
Any company that can unilaterally chooses not to refund a student's course fee after being misled and can simply charge a SGD$107 reschedule fee is very profitable in my opinion. Maybe IRAS should review their 'not for profit' status and also look into how their CEO, Mdm Karine Kam is remunerated.
I am sure our government needs to shore up our reserves again and there are many companies out there still resorting to unscrupulous means to earn a quick buck.
Worse experience. Slow in follow up and unacceptable service from the team. Producing a E Cert takes more than 3 business day whereby email stated within 3 business day.
