Sen-ryo is the best value for money Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to in Singapore. They serve premium and super delicious sushi and sashimi. The sushi is so authentic, it feels like you’re eating it in Japan. Their lunch set menu is a must-try, and it comes with complimentary hot or cold green tea. I went to Hong Kong years ago and Sen-ryo was always packed with long queues. But now they have two branches in Singapore! I love both branches at ION Mall and Suntec mall, and I love how they’re open all day, from 11am to 10 pm. If you’re a Japanese food lover, I highly recommend Sen-ryo.

The host wasn’t friendly at all. She was hostile and not keen to find us a seat. We didn’t make any reservation as it was a last minute decision to dine here. They were packed and told us to put in waiting list ourselves because it can only be done online by ourselves. They cannot manually take our phone no. and put on waitlist for us. Such bad system. However, the food was nice. Everything we ordered were good except for the chicken skewers as the frozen taste is very strong. Not sure how they handled this to cause that taste and smell.

2025.8.10 (Sun) I am fussy about my Japanese food. And I always prefer bespoke restaurants to chains. Senryo surprised me on the upside. The sashimi is very fresh. The presentation: not as refined as bespoke restaurants but good enough. The atmosphere: Comfortable but not great for catching up with 1-1 conversations. Tables are too close. The Service: Is excellent. There is energy in the order-takers and servers. The pricing: Reasonable for the quality and service. It actually reminds me of Sun with Moon 🤔

Love their service, all their staff were friendly and welcoming. Their food is not very amazing. Their menu selection is limited and their portion were relatively small. My partner and I were hungry again at 9pm after our dinner at Sen Ryo, which we ended around 7pm. Their interior of the restaurant is beautiful and I think the vibe is great! Just that it was noisier during our dine in experience. If you have a smaller appetite, you can give this restaurant a try. If not, your tummy will be unsatisfied 😝

Food and service were good. There are unique items on the menu which we will come back for them again. Loved the charcoal grilled chicken thigh. While it does not look appetising, the meat was very tasty! Also love the soft shell crab mango roll and sea bream from the spring seasonal menu. Definitely will visit again! Bill was on the higher end due to sashimi.

Went for a lunch with family. We all like the foods. The portion was just nice for us and the price was reasonable. Besides the food, the atmosphere was cosy and the location of the restaurant was easy to find. Definitely recommend for people who likes to eat Japanese food.

After a great experience at the ION branch, I decided to try the Suntec outlet for their lunch sets, which are available until 5pm. My order at 4:45pm was accepted without issue. The space feels like a typical Japanese izakaya, which was pleasant though not particularly memorable. Service was inconsistent, generally lukewarm and sombre, but our requests were met efficiently. Having said that, it made me miss the chirpier and kore positive team at ION, even with the weekend crowds. Food here leans full-flavoured, but was still solid, good-quality Japanese fare and really value-for-money. To be fair, my high expectations were set by the ION branch, which left a strong impression. If this were your first visit to sen-ryo, I would recommend starting with the Suntec branch for a great experience, then visiting ION for something more memorable.

super busy during lunch times but for good reason! the sashimi is so fresh and portion sizes are reasonable as well. we were asked to move tables as a big group was coming in and the manager gave us dessert for free as a thank you.

I must be expecting a little too much resulting my disappointment. Food is really, really just mediocre. Ordered lots of food due to their appealing menu and their relatively low price tags. The only greatness is their Suntory. Yes, great, served at an optimal temperature. On a side note, only after a few days, I learned that this restaurant is operated by Genki Sushi. No wonder the food is…….Err…

The sushi and sashimi were absolute perfection—the fish was incredibly fresh, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and beautifully presented. The tempura was light and crispy, with just the right balance of crunch and flavor. I also tried their soba noodles, which had a wonderful texture and depth of taste.
