Josiah Montessori Suntec represents a pioneering approach to early childhood education, occupying a comprehensive space spanning units 618-620 on the first floor of Singapore's premier business district. Founded in 1997 by three visionary engineers who recognized the need for exceptional preschool education, this infant care and childcare center has evolved into one of Singapore's most respected Montessori institutions, serving families who demand the highest standards of educational excellence and child development support.
The center's curriculum embodies Dr. Maria Montessori's revolutionary educational philosophy, emphasizing independence, freedom within structured limits, and deep respect for each child's natural psychological, physical, and social development patterns. The signature "Josiah Way" integrates group activities and music to make learning dynamic and engaging, while the innovative Musical Arts Program develops essential 21st-century skills including self-management and social awareness. Bilingual language development in English and Mandarin, hands-on mathematics using authentic Montessori materials, and specialized programs like Josiah Care for children with learning differences ensure comprehensive educational support.
Operating with exceptionally low teacher-child ratios and maintaining rigorous safety and hygiene standards, Josiah Montessori provides daily individualized guidance from Montessori-trained educators who document each child's progress. The center's unique Josiah@Home online program extends learning beyond classroom walls, while freshly prepared daily meals cater to individual dietary requirements and developmental stages. Parents consistently praise the staff as "caring, knowledgeable, and creative," recognizing this Suntec location as an exceptional educational environment where children develop confidence, independence, and lifelong learning enthusiasm in Singapore's dynamic urban setting.

We sent our 7mo boy to Josiah Infant last Nov’22. He adapted quite well but like most kids, he fell sick very often. I don’t blame the school for this but what was disappointing was that, the school failed to inform us to pick up him early even though they noticed abnormal symptoms.
One morning in Jan’23, my son experienced eczema outbreak one hour after we dropped him at school. Teachers noticed this but forgot to inform us. By the time we received him in late evening, he was already in a very bad shape, and later started to exhibit HFMD symptoms.
This incident really triggered us. Nobody informed us that our boy was unwell throughout the entire day! Few days later, more HFMD cases were reported.
From several conversations with Josiah & our own observations, we could tell that the infant section was clearly under-staffed, and their operation can be chaotic. I do think the teachers tried their best but were just stretched too thin.
We eventually decided to withdraw from Josiah - not confident that they will be able to take good care of our boy. We paid the premium for 1:3 staff to student ratio, but the quality of care is not up to expectations.
We are also disappointed that the few matters the founders promised after the incident did not materialized and we still have not gotten our deposit back as of today even after a fair bit of followups.
For what it's worth, we do observe in the mornings the older kids are generally very happy to go to Josiah, and perhaps that's where Josiah's strength is at.

5-Star Review for Josiah Suntec
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Josiah Suntec! From the moment we enrolled, the staff has shown genuine care and dedication to every child’s growth and well-being. The teachers are warm, nurturing, and incredibly skilled at creating a fun and engaging learning environment.
The curriculum is well-rounded, focusing not just on academics but also on social and emotional development. Our child has blossomed in confidence, creativity, and curiosity since starting here. The activities are thoughtfully designed to be both educational and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunities for hands-on learning.
Communication with parents is outstanding, with regular updates, photos, and newsletters that keep us informed about our child’s progress and daily adventures. The facilities are clean, safe, and equipped with age-appropriate materials that encourage exploration.
We’ve also loved the sense of community at Josiah Suntec. Festive celebrations bring everyone together, making it feel like an extended family.
We highly recommend Josiah Suntec to any parent looking for a loving and enriching preschool experience. It’s truly a place where children thrive and develop a lifelong love for learning!

Josiah Suntec is a very impressive outlet. Their staffs are all very attentive and alert to each and every child’s character. They are able to capture the children’s attention and made learning fun, making them looking forward to go to school every morning. Our child went for foreign exchange for a period of time, and the teachers made sure they finish all the syllabus in advance so there won’t be any issue of being unable to catch up upon returning. The principal is very thoughtful with the planning of their curriculum, from learnings to playtime. The operational staffs are very alert and knows what’s happening in the centre as well. The growth here is very significant among the peers from elsewhere. Nothing to complain about! Well done Josiah! 👏🏻

We were drawn to Josiah because of its well-rounded approach to education, which focuses on both academic and emotional development. The warm and nurturing environment created by the teachers made us feel confident that my child would feel supported and cared for. Josiah not only provides a strong foundation for academic success but also fosters creativity, confidence, and kindness in children. Thank you!

Our 2 years old boy was in toddler class at Josiah at Suntec when we moved to Singapore. We can see his improvement in so many ways. You can see that the teachers and staffs here really love what they are doing and they always communicate with us and let’s us know after school how was our little one, what he has learnt and achieved throughout the day which I feel like this is all we need as a parents who has to work and having a young kids.
Just want to say thank you so much for providing a healthy and clean space for our little one to learn and explore the new place and new cultures. 😊
