This is my nth time visiting this place.
First, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are very prompt in clearing used plates and bowls from your table. Hence, you will never encounter a situation of table cluttered with plates/bowls. Also, they are very alert/observant and will quickly replenish a food item when it is running low.
Next, strongly recommend the following food items:
(i) Cha Kway Teow is full of ingredients (sotong, small cockles, prawns, bean sprouts, fried eggs & green veg). It is well-fried with wok hey, very flavorful and the sweetness is just right.
(ii) Nonya style dry curry prawns is simple irresistible. The large prawns are very fresh and crunchy. The curry is simply sedap and has a very nice lemongrass fragrance. (p/s: my mum who doesn't eat prawn could not resist it and ate a few prawns.)
(iii) Desserts - Pulut Tai Tai with kaya is a KILLER! It is served directly from the steamer and hence the warm and moist glutinous rice dyed purple using butterfly pea flowers is well complemented by the aromatic and mildly sweet kaya. Kueh Kosui is well-flavoured with gula melaka and grated coconut. Kueh Lapis being so colorful is very popular. Bubur Cha Cha is fragrant and delicious, with lots of ingredients like taro, sweet potato, and colourful tapioca jellies. Its coconut milk is rich and has a well-balanced taste of sweetness and saltiness (p/s: i had 4 bowls of this and was super satisfied :P)
(iv) Chicken Satay - chicken is well-marinated, tender, well-grilled perfectly matched with the peanut dipping sauce.
(v) Assam Laksa
(vi) Hokkien Mee (Soup)
Reservation is highly recommended because there was a queue waiting to be served when we left the place around 7.45 pm.
Craving for some Penang cuisine? A buffet spread of pan fried noodles, coconut rice, chendol, etc. is sure to satisfy.
The staff replenish the dishes very promptly and you don't have to wait too long for popular items. A staff will be at the noodle station to make you a fresh bowl of hokkien soupl noodle and you can have fun making your own shaved ice dessert.
Wide range of Asian foods here. Tried the Teppan grill today and it was good! Place can get extremely packed during peak hours like from 12pm-1.30pm. This food court is located at the basement of Suntec city! There is also an underground passage way next to Food Republic Foodcourt that links directly to Millenia Walk.
Place is bustling with life 🤩 my plate of economy rice was SGD $5.50 and it tasted quite fresh too. This food court feels like an excellent choice 🤍 to have your lunch or dinner if you are working nearby :) energetic atmosphere filled me up like my meal did! Haha and there’s some aircon too so you get to eat in relative comfort ❤️ …
I recently visited 100% Punched Lemon Tea at FoodRepublic in Suntec City, and I have to say, it was a major disappointment. I ordered an ice lemon tea for SGD 3.90, expecting a refreshing drink. However, what I received was a cup filled with 90% ice and barely any actual tea. It felt like I was paying almost four dollars for a cup of ice.
I won’t be returning to 100% Punched Lemon Tea, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a good lemon tea. Save your money and go somewhere else where you can actually enjoy what you’re paying for.
Food republic at Suntec City, mini wok food stall offer variety of Cook on the Spot food. Ate the fried beef hot fan. Generous portion of thin slice beef, soft too. Tasty, not so much dark sauce, but like something missing in taste. Will try other food.
Tried to claim my birthday free drink, but went through a lot at the drink stall cashier,in the end have to top up $30 of credit, and only got small. The staff had a bad attitude and started making remarks about us using the app for the first time, when we used this app for very long to redeem birthday rewards. Overall not a good experience.
Decent options for a meal, korean, chicken rice and Ayam penyet stores are definitely worth mentioning. Mini wok is so so — very dry, taste isn’t there too, would not recommend given the price point
Delicious ayam penyet @ basement Suntec City, Food Republic.
Big portion of their smash bbq chicken and rice smothered with very fragrant coconutty curry sauce.
Together with their special green chilli condiment, it is just perfect.
Friendly stall assistant and they are generous with their chilli, sambal.
Serve with bowl of soup.
Must try.
9/10
Bad experience today at the soup stall. ABC soup supposedly with carrot, potato and corn only had 1 piece of corn, 0 potatoes and 0 carrot. Saw a lady come back about the pig stomach soup where is only had a few pieces of pig stomach. This is not the way to run a stall. Mighty sad. Makes me think why Food Republic is knocked out from Parkway Parade. Sad state. Should have had something else.
