SOTPOT at Suntec City's Sky Garden represents Singapore's pioneering introduction to authentic Korean sotbap (rice pot) cuisine, brought to life by Korean entrepreneur James Lee who has masterfully combined traditional Korean cooking methods with contemporary dining innovation. Located at #03-304/305, this bright and welcoming restaurant mirrors the authentic atmosphere of Korean eateries while introducing Singapore diners to the specialized art of sotbap preparation and phyunbaeg jjim (cypress wood steaming) techniques. Since opening to considerable fanfare as arguably Singapore's first restaurant specializing in Korean rice pots, SOTPOT has established itself as a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts seeking genuine Korean comfort food experiences.
The restaurant's signature sotbap offerings showcase the versatility and depth of Korean rice pot cuisine, with options ranging from accessible Tofu Vegi (5.90) and Beef Bulgogi (9.90) to premium selections like Wagyu Abalone (4.90) and Beef Woodae (9.90). Each sotbap arrives as a complete set meal accompanied by traditional Korean side dishes, steamed egg, and soup, ensuring an authentic Korean dining experience. SOTPOT's innovative phyunbaeg jjim utilizes aromatic cypress wood to steam premium meats including Pork Belly (4.90++), Beef Short Plate (7.90++), and Duroc Collar (2.90++), served with an extensive vegetable assortment that creatively draws inspiration from Chinese hotpot while maintaining Korean authenticity through the unique cypress steaming process.
Operating daily from 11:30am to 3:30pm and 5:30pm to 9pm, SOTPOT has expanded its menu to include exciting additions like Marinated Crab (5.90) and Sotssam (from 6.90), demonstrating the restaurant's commitment to evolving Korean culinary traditions while maintaining authenticity. The restaurant's strategic location in Sky Garden provides a serene dining environment enhanced by traditional wooden furniture that adds warmth and cultural authenticity to the space. With founder James Lee's entrepreneurial experience and deep understanding of Korean cuisine brands in Singapore, SOTPOT continues to build its reputation as the definitive destination for experiencing the rich, comforting flavors of traditional Korean rice pot cuisine in an atmosphere that truly transports diners to the heart of Korea.

Queued with my family including two young kids with high hopes for our dinner. We ended up placed in a corner of the restaurant where it was so dark we could barely see anything even though they gave us table lamps. We were alright to bear with this and figure everything out ourselves but we were not attended to at all, and our food did not arrive in a complete set but in parts, with the “special sauce” and “special soup” only arriving after we asked the staff. The side dish with kimchi was completely missed out. Fumbled around with my phone torch light and alas beef bulgogi bap tasted average. As mentioned in some reviews here, the special soup had no flavour. The steamed set was also lacking in quality, flavour of dipping sauces did not wow either. Left this place feeling disappointed and completely ripped off.

The food and service over here is really good. Not salty and the babs are really good and on point. The pancake is on point. Not too much flour. It was just right. Staff were very friendly. The service is good. The Manager Elizabeth, is very hands on and walks the ground and do interact with the customers. I will definitely come back again in the not too distant future.

First time here and love the food. They have different variety of Sotpot and I tried the salmon. Super yummy. Pancake was equally good and their atmosphere is very Korean style. Staffs are attentive especially their customer centric lady manager.
Highly recommended! Will come again.

Located on 3rd floor of sky garden restaurants. Take the lift nearest from Watsons.
First time here, first impression:
Spacious, clean, airy. Good view
•Signature pork belly - meat is tender
•Signature beef - added more beef, fragrant though meat could be more tender.
Each comes with kimchi and chawanmushi.
First you mix the rice with sauce then transfer to an empty bowl provided. Pour the soup. The soup is clear and has a light seaweed flavour.
Overall i liked the beef, will return for this as it is quite interesting. The soup helps to end off the meal. The meal is straightforward not pretentious. I liked it for a tummy filling, simple and hearty meal.

Sotpot is a hidden gem for Korean steamed meat lovers! The whole place has a chill, quaint vibe — not too loud, cozy enough to feel like a secret spot you’ll want to keep to yourself. Perfect for a slow, satisfying dinner.
The food was absolutely on point:
🥩 Beef Short Plate – Incredibly tender and flavorful. The steaming really brings out the natural richness of the beef without making it oily or overwhelming. Every bite was soft, clean, and addictive.
🐷 Duroc Belly – My personal favorite of the night. Juicy, slightly sweet, and so buttery in texture. You can really taste the quality of the Duroc pork — it’s a level above regular belly cuts. Melts in your mouth with just the right balance of fat and meat.
🐮 Beef Wodae (우대갈비) – Hearty, thick, and full of bold beefy flavor. It has that satisfying chew you want in a premium short rib, and it held the steam beautifully without losing texture.
If you’re looking for something lighter than traditional BBQ but just as satisfying, Sotpot is definitely worth a visit. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Wanted to try Sotpot and finally came. Did not disappoint. Ordered a Duroc Collar with vegetables jjim and a kimchi jeon. The jeon is crispy and nice. Takes around 12-15mins to cook. Healthy cos not oily and not overly seasoned. Very “down to earth” taste. But if the meat is a tad more tender, it will be great. Overall, food and ambience is nice. Will come and try the sotbap next time.
