Uncle Fong Hotpot Restaurant represents the culinary vision of Uncle Fong, founder of Michelin-starred PUTIEN, who discovered authentic Chongqing-style hotpot during his travels and committed to sharing these extraordinary flavours with Singapore diners. Located on Suntec City's second level, this specialised hotpot destination delivers traditional Sichuan fire pot experiences through meticulously crafted soup bases that honour centuries-old Chongqing cooking traditions.
The restaurant's signature broth exemplifies authentic Sichuan complexity, carefully constructed from five essential ingredients: Chongqing Shizhuhong chilli, renowned Sichuan Hanyuan pepper, refined high-quality beef tallow, traditional Sichuan Pixian bean paste, and aromatic Yunnan yellow ginger. This precise combination creates the foundation for genuine Chongqing-style hotpot that delivers the characteristic numbing heat and deep, layered flavours that define this celebrated regional cuisine.
Operating daily from 11:30 AM to 10 PM at Suntec's Atrium Convention Centre level, Uncle Fong Hotpot extends the complete hotpot experience beyond traditional boundaries through delivery services that bring authentic Chongqing flavours directly to Singapore homes. The restaurant successfully bridges the gap between traditional Sichuan culinary heritage and modern dining expectations, making genuine Chinese regional cuisine accessible to both experienced hotpot enthusiasts and curious newcomers to this warming, communal dining tradition.

We were still hungry, so we had to eat the vegetables and the pork bone in the soup 💀
Also, the chopsticks are very uncomfortable and gave me hand cramp several times.
Soup is nice tho.

Nice atmosphere and service was good. We tried the tomato soup and found it to be good. The pork rib soup was quite diluted.
Food wise was ok.

Pleasantly surprised by Zhong Chong Mala! Despite not being a big mala fan, I found their soup base to be incredibly tasty and of superior quality, made with fresh ingredients. The mala level was just right, not overpowering, and the overall flavor was excellent. The prompt service was also a definite a plus. Spacious restaurant space.

Didn’t know Putien actually opened a sister restaurant that does hotpot. Soups and ingredients were yummy, and they also serve my favourite Putien chilli sauce at the condiment station! 😋
The chicken pumpkin + mala soups were yummy!
Sleepy Sleeping
Tried Uncle Fong hotpot today. It seems like no MSG was used in the soup and food. The chicken and fish maw soup was delicious. However, the mild mala soup was spicier than other hotpot chains' medium spiciness and not really pleasant to drink as I only tasted spiciness. It was good for cooking the ingredients though. I liked their tender beef, luncheon meat, chive dumplings, Putien tofu, and brown sugar jelly. The place was clean and the service was great.

Visited Uncle Fong for their famous spicy hot pot. The food was fresh, especially the sliced beef and shrimp paste, but some items like the fish balls tasted a bit generic. Broth options are bold and flavorful, though a few dipping sauces could use better balance.
Atmosphere was energetic but crowded. Tables are packed close together, and it gets noisy fast. Not the best for quiet conversation, but okay for casual group outings.
Ambiance is warm with nice lighting and traditional decor, but the noise level and tight space take away from the overall comfort.
Good for a one-time experience if you enjoy strong flavors and a busy vibe. Could be a 4-star spot with better ingredient quality and more comfortable seating.
