Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine (湘香湖南菜) introduces the bold, fiery flavours of authentic Hunan province cooking to Suntec City #B1-159, representing one of China's eight great culinary traditions renowned for its heat, depth, and aromatic complexity. Operating daily from 11am-9:30pm as the newest addition to six Singapore locations, this restaurant sources premium ingredients globally including Iberico Pork, Screw pepper, and Wu Chang rice to ensure authentic Xiang cuisine experiences that satisfy spice enthusiasts seeking alternatives to traditional 'ma la' preparations.
The restaurant's culinary expertise shines through signature dishes like the Hunan Stir-fry Pork featuring tender Iberico pork slices with smoky, mildly spicy flavours enhanced by black bean sauce, garlic, and crunchy green pepper with white fungus textures. The Golden Broth Sour and Spicy Fish and renowned 18-Second Angus Beef Stir-fry demonstrate the kitchen's mastery of Hunan's characteristic balance of spicy, sour, and umami elements, while the popular Suan Cai Yu (2.90) showcases pickled vegetables with fish in a piquant soup that achieves perfect harmony without overwhelming greasiness or excessive heat.
What distinguishes Xiang Xiang from other spicy Chinese restaurants is their thoughtful approach to heat levels, creating dishes that deliver authentic Hunan boldness while remaining accessible to diners who find traditional numbing spicy preparations too intense. The restaurant enhances value through complimentary snacks and ice cream, while their fresh ingredient preparation and expert seasoning with chili, garlic, ginger, and vinegar create a casual Chinese dining experience that celebrates one of China's most distinctive regional cuisines in the heart of Singapore's premier shopping destination.
Visited Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine @ Suntec City for lunch with a colleague and had a great first experience with Hunan food. The queuing system is efficient—just scan a QR code, and you'll be notified when it’s your turn. While waiting, the front counter staff offered iced water and snacks, which was a thoughtful touch.
The restaurant also provides free ice cream, packaged snacks, and fun balloon sculptures for kids—nice extras that make the visit feel more welcoming.
We found the food to be delicious, though a bit oilier than I usually prefer. I enjoyed the oolong tea. It was strong, aromatic, and not watered down. Service was quick and attentive, and pricing felt reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.
Overall, a pleasant dining experience. Looking forward to trying more dishes from the chain in future visits!

The food was great and the service too. I like the food, and the portion was great for sharing. My friends and I can't help but noticed that the food items' prices were heavily discounted for members, so do sign up (free membership) to save some money!

As a frequent customer of Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine, I have tried a good variety of their dishes, and I have to say that every single one this year has been nothing short of amazing.
I really enjoy their spicy dishes, especially the double spicy fish, Iberico pork with green chilli peppers.
This time, I tried the century egg with eggplant, and it was surprisingly amazing in all the good ways. Also, the most iconic thing to me that makes everything so good is definitely their basic carbohydrates, which is the mineral water rice. We got two rice pots at $6.9 each that serve five people. It was so pearly, fresh, and aromatic. I really love their jumbo ice lemon tea too.
Other than the food and the long queues, getting a queue number was really easy by scanning a QR code. We went on a Friday night and waited about 30 minutes with a group of six ahead of us when we started to queue at 7:30 PM.
Service from the staff was really good and smiley, and they are so efficient.

Very good service crew. All smiles and polite. It’s a v busy time yet the manager Kenis was v patient and attentive. He noticed us picking the food apart from the sauce. He Came to ask us how’s the food..
We feedback that it was too salty. He listened and then told us later he took that off the bill! And bless us with complimentary desserts. We were Very pleasantly surprised.
The restaurant can consider to add some wall paper or fabric to soften and to absorb the noise in the dining hall.

Second time dining here and the customer service is still superb. The beef is really spicy but tasty with the local Hainan white fragrant rice. My fav is the organic cauliflower and chicken mushroom soup. The tossed vermicelli was average though.
