Passed by Barani’s retail store in Suntec and was reminded of this old favourite. While I’ve outgrown their shoes, I was pleasantly surprised to see they now carry a small but functional range of leather bags. Purchased two and left satisfied with the reasonable pricing and the attentive service by the two lovely Burmese sales assistants. Will visit again.

I visited Barani recently for casual and formal shoe shopping. They have a very good variety. There were a couple of attendants and no other customers in the shop. I had to try a good number of sizes and pairs and I cannot say they were very happy to serve. But hey, given their collection I didn’t want to leave without buying. I bought two comfy pairs despite their attitude. Their bag designs were good. Just some willingness from the staff would be a perfect icing on the cake!
