First time trying fried Yong Tau Foo. I must say I was a bit wary at first but wow. I am impressed with the meat sauce. It was fragrant and filled with lots of minced meat and shitake mushrooms. It reminds me of the lu rou fan sauce I had in Taiwan. Love it. I also enjoyed the You tiao with fish paste. Goes well with the sauce. Ordered about 9 items and 1 separate dish! It was a lot for 2 person!
I love Fu Lin!!! The food is ALWAYS consistently good and the staff are super quick to prep and cook your food. I found the service to be super fast and efficient.
They used to be in the food court but now they have their own space. Choice of tong tao fu is good, and popular items are topped up quickly during peak hours.
You can choose to have your yong tao fu fried, in soup or in laksa. Fried version comes with the gravy they are famous for. Choice of carbs includes either rice or noodles. Noodles come drenched in sauce.
Sauce is thick and gravy like with mince meat and mushrooms inside. Suitable for kids as there is no mushroomy taste. It’s also not too salty and flavored well.
Love YTF, including Fulin, although it is fried and not healthy.
Was having a meal at Suntec outlet. Halfway through, I heard a familiar sound that should not be happening at an eatery. Turned and saw the staff clipping his nails away right behind the cashier counter, which was next to where the food ingredients were.
Seriously, is he or anyone in the stall licensed for food safety and hygiene? Isn't this basic hygiene for managing F&B?
Anyone eating there, if you chew on something hard and sharp, beware.... Would have easily been a 4⭐️ but I'm too disgusted and dropped 2 stars.
Authentic okonomiyaki and yakisoba! Flavorful! Delicious! Customer service is super good and made our time there very enjoyable! Ordered nabe pork and beef too, and it came after we finish the okonomiyakis, which finishes our meal very well as the veg and miso soup are refreshing to the palette.
Food taste good. Couldnt enjoy more due to my son having sudden fever n headache. My son still eat them cuz the ramen soup base my wife ordered was sweet type. i only know how to eat n complain like a small child. Head straight home after the meal. Will come back again.
This restaurant located at the same place like previous Tsuruhashi Fugetsu.
Still offering okonomiyaki, but there are a lot of differences on the other items.
Tried both okonomiyaki and udon nabe, both are fantastic! The team member are friendly and accommodating. The food is also super nice (still one of the best okonomiyaki in Singapore).
The only thing is..
If you wanted to visit this place, be prepare to leave with smelly clothes :D
The exhaust fan in their restaurant still not that good. So it is a smokey, hot and crowded. But in fairness it gave you the real japanese vibe.
Pretty authentic Japanese restaurant. Suggest to do reservation on chope beforehand to reduce wait time. Free cake in a can for expenses > $55. Staff speak Japanese and English. Walk all the way in and it’s the last store inside. Cosy place to hang out.
We enjoyed our meal here! The lamb tsukune was absolutely delicious to us but some might find it too lamb-y. It was perfect to us.
The hanabi seafood yakisoba had a wonderful char and the noodle texture was so qq. The dish was so more-ish and we enjoyed every bit of it. It was a tad oily but I guess that’s what makes it delicious lol.
The motsunabe was very warming and umami, and went very well with a bowl of rice. We are lovers of motsunabe and have been to a few restaurants serving this around Singapore and this rendition is our favourite. The motsu texture is not too chewy and it does not smell bad. Just wish they were more generous with the portion of motsu!
Service was fast and friendly, especially the male waiter who was particularly cheerful. We spent $93 for 2pax and left with happy and full bellies.
Bonus: we spotted a typo on one of the posters on the wall which states their shop name wrongly 😹
